How to turn visitors into buyers.

It's really quite easy to improve conversion rates on websites.  Datadial's role is to advise clients on how to successfully convert visitors to buyers.

We do this sometimes by over hauling the whole website so that it is at least agreable to look at but more often it is just a case of tweaking the content and content layout and using some obvious "tricks" to hook people in.

Some of these tricks seem so obvious that it is hardly seems worth writing them here but here are a few:

 

Product Pictures - The more images that you can have the better. Potential buyerrs need to know what they are buying and if you do not provide the
information that customers want then they will look elsewhere. Furthermore the more information that you give at this stage the fewer returns you will
have.

Offers - Users love offers. Simple offers like free shipping, money off, voucher codes work very well. Do not forget to promote your offer using
Datadial's email marketing software!

Prices - Don't make customers ask for them. Make sure that all prices are crystal clear. Avoid multiple product shots where possible.

Don't hide costs - 50% people drop off during the checkout process. The most cited reason for this is hidden extras like delivery costs.

Include full product description - More explanation about the product prevents a number of time-consuming phone enquiries

Reviews - Include links to consumer reviews, client testimonials

Registration - Think about is you really want people to register with your site.  Being forced to register on a site is the 2nd most cited reason for abandoning a shopping cart.

People love to feel wanted - so make them welcome and give them a reward for taking a specific action
Ask users to sign up to your newsletter - give them an incentive
