We are currently recruiting for a web developer as of October 08.  We do not use agencies so if you are enquiring from an agency please do not bother.

You will have excellent knowledge and at least 2 years experience in programming in ASP.net and vb script.  As well as this it is expected that you will have good CSS and HTML skills.  You should be able to show previous experience in developing content management systems, e-commerce systems and any other similar work.

You will be well versed in the requirements for search engine friendliness in web build and development. 

It is highly desirable that you have knowledge of other software packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Ilustrator and Macromedia Flash

If you are selected for interview, you should be able to demonstrate previous development work.

The initial contract is for 6 months and the salary will be based on experience and estimated between £24,000 and £29,000 pro rata.

Essential skills and experience:

We are looking to take on an enthusiastic and highly literate web designer to build our team further. This position requires the individual to be very creative and self-motivated, and to be able to juggle multiple tasks.


Essential skills are a strong knowledge of most of the following software packages:

2 years experience in a similar designer/developer role Ability to hand code HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, XSLT Working knowledge of W3C Standards Strong design skills and experience with tools Cross browser development experience - IE6+, Mozilla, Firefox, Safari.. Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator is essential. Knowledge of Macromedia Flash Experience and knowledge of the following: ASP.NET, C# , SQL Experience with web-related technologies: IIS, DNS, TCP/IP etc. is desirable.

You should be aware of requirements for search engine friendliness.

The quality and originality of your design work is more important than your actual web knowledge.

You must speak English

Salary: £22,000-£28,000 pro rata dependent on experience.
